How do we get to Lancombes House?
Our address is Lancombes House, West Milton, Dorset, DT6 3TN. When your booking is confirmed we will send you written directions of the easiest way of how to get to us. If you use your SatNav you will get to us, just down some very rural roads!
What is provided and what do we need to bring?
We provide you with a clean and comfortable cottage with electricity, mains water and heating.
We also provide:
* Bed linen (except for cots, please bring your own linen)
* A fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls and dishes and other kitchen utensils (you'll need to bring consumables like kitchen foil)
* One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom
* Wi-Fi across the site
* A communal Games Room
* Dedicated outdoor space to your cottage (please note that only Buckingham has an enclosed garden space. The Farmhouse and Tanglewood are not enclosed).
We can also provide (subject to availability):
* High Chairs
* Travel Cots
* A BBQ
You will need to bring towels (or these can be hired at £1.50 a set from us) and any other supplies you feel you'll need on top of the list above!
What appliances are in the kitchen?
All cottages have a fridge and freezer, an oven and hobs (The Farmhouse and Tanglewood have range cookers), dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and a filter coffee machine.
Do you have Wi-Fi and what is your phone signal like?
Yes we have Wi-Fi across the site through two super fast broadband connections. In some areas of Tanglwood the signal can be a bit patchy due to the thickness of the walls but you can comfortably get it in the lounge and dining room. Phone signal outside is generally good with most networks offering 4G signal. Inside the houses can be a bit patchy in places again due to the thickness of some walls.
Can we have fireworks or use drones?
Due to us being in a rural area with livestock around the property we are not able to allow fireworks or the use of drones on the site.
Do supermarkets deliver to Lancombes House?
Yes. Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Asda and Ocado all deliver to the property.
Where is the nearest pub/supermarket/bank/anything?
There is a Guest Information booklet in each cottage with information and postcodes of all local facilities and information on dog friendly beaches and family events. If you need any advance specific information please let us know.
Do you do food?
We are self-catering cottages and do not provide food. However, we have a deal with our local pub The Marquis of Lorne, who can deliver fresh dishes such as lasagne, cottage pie or chilli-con-carne to the cottage for you to just pop into the oven when you're ready. How do we pay?
You can pay for your stay through bank transfer or credit/debit card payment over the phone. We ask for 1/3 of the total balance as a non-returnable deposit at the time of booking with settlement of the balance 6 weeks before your stay.
Can I bring my pet dog/cat/gerbil/rabbit/duck (or any animal)?
Yes we are pet friendly. There is a charge of £7.50 per animal for a weekend stay, £15 for a week. We ask that you just don't leave them unattended in the property for prolonged periods of time and any damage/mess will be charged for.
Can I charge my electric car? Yes with a normal household plug connection. Electric cars are charged at £15 for the first night then £5 per night after that.
